Just when winter upstate almost becomes too much (it's bloomin' cold from November to April), a bright spark enlivens our home and studio: the beautiful anemone flower. When we moved up to Hudson, I was delighted to hear about a local farm that grows fir trees for the holidays and, surprisingly, anemones. I have long admired this flower for its quirky character and jewel tones, but it wasn't until I took the time to really study them that I fell deeply in love.
Wanting to share their beauty, I've offered an in-person Anemone workshop at the studio for the last few years. This newsletter is for all of you who can't attend but might enjoy painting along with me. Full length video and equipment list for paid subscribers below. Let's pick up our brushes!
